NIKE KERO

I am a Swedish ceramic artist currently based in Gothenburg. I started studying ceramics in 2019 and have since then invested all my time into this wonderful craft. My work features sculptural projects as well as carefully handcrafted tableware, mostly inspired by East Asian cultures. I fire most of my work in a reduction atmosphere between 1280 - 1315°C. This firing technique requires specific kilns and expertise resulting in unique esthetics that can’t be achieved in regular kilns.

With the environment in mind as well as the safety for the consumer and myself as the creator, I avoid toxic materials such as heavy metals. I make all my glazes myself which gives me full control over the ingredients and recycle all my waste material, both clay and glazes. From the waste material I create one of a kind glazes and clay mixes impossible to recreate.

I’m always looking for new challenges and I continue to evolve my artistry by exploring and mastering new techniques within the ceramic field.
